USA Mass Shootings

In my previous article, https://www.soulbody.ca/mass-shootings-usa/, I looked at mass shootings in the USA from 2013 to July 2022. In that study, I examined the planetary placement at the time of the shootings.

Recently, on 27 August 2025, a person attacked during a mass at a Minneapolis, Minnesota school, injuring 18 people (15 children) and killing two young children.

In this study, I have since added data up to 2023. Since my previous study was inconclusive, I have decided to revisit the shootings through the lens of looking at the events in relation to the chart of the United States.

Data

The chart for the USA I used is the Alphee Lavoie chart, dated 16:56, 4 July 1776.

The 309 mass shootings charts are for four or more people being killed, spanning from 2013 to 2023.

While the Minneapolis chart has only two people killed, they were children, so it has rocked the nation. The time of the chart examined is 08:27, 27 August 2025, set for Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

The Study

In this study, I looked at the transits to the USA chart. Since the charts only span 10 years of data, looking at slower-moving planets would not be relevant. I did examine Jupiter even though it only makes its way through 10 out of 12 signs. I examine the five Ptolemaic transits to the USA chart for the following bodies:

Venus,
The previous New Moon
Pallas Athena (Goddess of War)
Moon
Jupiter
The Previous Eclipse
Mars
The asteroid Gunn (just for fun).

The orbs used were +/-7°.

The Statistics

Since I am using 7° orbs for 5 Ptolemaic aspects, that means a 14° span, which equals 70°. Because trines, squares and sextiles have two sides, applying and separating, then that means there is an additional 42° of arc for a total of 112° of the zodiac.

That means 112/360 = 31.11% of the time. This means that out of the 309 charts of the shootings, a transiting planet should make approximately 96.1 Ptolemaic aspects to one of the USA chart planets on average.

For a measurement to be significant or out of the ordinary, the Chi-square should be 3.84 or higher.

For a measurement to be significant, there must be 115 occurrences or more. Also, to occur seldom, that amount would have to be fewer than 77 occurrences.
