Flower of Romance (June 2005)
Flower of Romance
Wilting on the kitchen counter
It's a passing memory
Of an intimate encounter
See it wilt and dry up
A memory of a another lover
The fun is gone and a reminder
You must find another
Flower of Romance
You pale to the Flower of Love
It wraps around your heart
And fits you like a glove
It doesn't dazzle
Or shine bright light
It sits there for you
In the quiet of night
When you close your eyes
And look inside of you
The Flower of Love
Will bloom all that is true.
Romance will give
Thrills and excitement
Wines and dines you
Take you back to the apartment
Love is there for you
All through the depths
Holding your hand
When you take that last breath
O Flower of Romance
Petals dropping, One by one
As do the givers
As they set into the sun.
When Two is One (Nov 2005)
As they enter the room
two stand alone
Separate they are, but...
Together they come
hand touching hand
leg touching leg
mouth on mouth.
hand on leg
mouth on breast
their orbs of existence
push against each other
like two magnets of like poles
separate,
distinct, repelling
Separate until the moment
when they conjoin.
Man in woman,
woman around man
pulled together
like the same two magnets
NOW
of opposite poles.
For the two is now one
There is only one orb
melded, fused, blended
energy dances, bodies sway
pulsing in togetherness
undulating waves confirm
their unity in energy of life
They lie down,
side by side....
Breathless
For this was their journey
and now they rest!
slowly, mercurially, they separate
Back into two orbs of existence
side by side.
the one has once again become two.
until it is time to join once more.
Around the Fire. (Aug 2005)
Around the fire we all dance
Drums pounding, bodies moving
It took an eye, it took a glance
The feel of energy surging up
Closer we moved to each other
To share some wine from a cup
You have come from some pain
Broken relationships, an ex-spouse
The story with me, just the same.
Two lonely hearts in search of comfort
Embrace each other, holding hands
The grins of mischief and the sort.
We embrace and we caress
And fall to the bed, clothes removed
Strewn about oh what a mess.
The intimate pleasure to dull the pain
Connectedness, conjoined in bed
It is now when we feel the most sane.
Then it is time to retire for the night
Until tomorrow when sun goes down
And we dance to drums at night.
Around the fire we all dance
Drums pounding, bodies moving
It took a hug, it took a glance…
Quiet Time (Sept 2005)
In my mind,
The quiet time,
To look and reflect,
To try to unwind.
Ruminate about life
And it's inner meaning
Friends and foes
And all those inbetweenies
Time to prune
Cut the dead wood
Celebrate life
As we all should
It's all about cycles
The ebb and flow
Life's ups and downs
That make us grow
Forget the anger
Who needs hate
Look to happiness
And you'll feel great
Call friends, Call family
Don't let them go
Love your children
And let them know
For change is certain
And it will come
But from truth and love
You must not run.
For when we die
There's quiet time
To look back
And to rewind
The Kiss (Oct. 2004)
Our lips
Moist contact
pressure, tingling
electrical chills
auric strands intertwine
ecstasy, awakening
heart pounding
our lips.
Two voices (Oct 2005)
Two voices connect in the void,
Lost in the vacuum of technology
Can they touch?
Can they connect?
Lonely
Space
Distance
Unknown
Unseen
Yet the hearts can feel their way
The mind can wander
Moving to its mark
Approaching
Yes, there is warmth in the void
There is heart to the voice
Yes, feel it, connect with it, merge with it.
Will distance shorten?
Will the orbs of formless bodies take shape?
Will the two hearts beat side by side?
Uncertainty
Longing
Desire
Tears
Urge
Time will tell, only time will tell
Satisfied they connect in the void
Two voices remain that for now.
Silly Love Poem (Oct. 1999)
My Angel, my angle is this
a kiss, not to miss
hit your lips, hands on hips
touch your face, any place
taste your flesh, see-through mesh,
hugs, tugs on rugs, snug like bugs
me and you, that makes two.
Your Heart Beats By My Side
(June 2005) A poem for friend's loss.
You are beside me when I sleep
Your heart beats by my side.
The comfort of your embrace
Even when you were away
Your heart beats by my side.
And I long for your return
I look to your warm embrace so
Your heart beats by my side.
To be together again
Although, now you're just a memory
Your heart still beats by my side.
Until the end of time.
Sun Light (Oct 20004)
The warmth of your hugs
removes the empty coldness
left in my heart from the dungeon
in which I have locked it in.
Your sweet caress is like a painter
who draws on the canvas which
is me and it colours me with your love
and radiant warmth.
I must draw the drapes at night,
lest the sun light from your smile
illuminate the street and deny
the others of their sleep.
Bathe me in you, oh sweet sunshine
for it is with you that I can see where
I need to be and where I need to go.
Poesia
Infagottati senza direzione batte
e batte di buon umore,
batte le parole con il amore
meglio di quelle triste ma tutte due io lo viste.
Questa e la storia delle parole di pena e di gioia.
E devo continuare anche se non ho voglia
Perché senza amore non batte il cuore.
Of lips and wine (Nov 2006)
The anticipation of the taste
I look at the vessel in front of me and
I see your lips.
Like a glass of ruby red wine, waiting to touch my mouth
I bring the glass close and I feel the moistness
The essence, the flavour
Cold glass turns into warm succulent flesh
I let the sweetness of your tongue roll over mine
And swirl inside me as I swallow the nectar of the goddess.
Like a connoisseur, I savour all the elements,
all the sensations, as they run to my head bringing about a
stimulating swirl of elation.
I pull back and look to my glass and look up
to see you standing across the room.
We exchange a smile.
